There are many laws designed to keep people’s medical information and health related personal business private, but most conditions may be easily discerned by an examination of the prescription bottles that are thrown away by the patient. There must be a better way to eliminate the writing before tossing them out.
Perhaps a system of printing could be established where heat from a hair dryer could cause the label to blacken, rendering it unreadable. Or the label itself could be designed to strategically tear when pulled off the bottle such that it would be destroyed. Soaking the bottle in water for a time might be a solution, though this approach has some obvious flaws….
Regardless of the execution settled upon, the medical industry certainly has enough capability in its collective R&D departments to remedy this obvious loophole.
